BMC TESTIMONY

  My experience in Master’s Commission changed my life forever. I went to MC hungry for God to do something new in my life, and desperate to grow. Leaving the comfort of my home, my town, my church, and my friends to spend nine months seeking and serving God was one of the best things I have ever done. I was put in an environment that forced me to grow.

  The area of my life that changed the most was my identity. I had been involved in my youth group and prayer groups at school, so I thought I had a deep relationship with God and I thought I knew exactly who I was. During Master’s, the books we read and the leaders who spoke to us taught me that I am God’s dearly loved child and that every aspect of my life was related to my relationship with God. If I was doing my laundry, driving to church, having devotional time, talking with a friend or doing homework, it was affected by my relationship with Christ. My devotions went from being dry and shallow to being intense and deep.

  The other students at my Master’s Commission became my family. We grew closer than I thought possible as we encouraged one another to seek God with all of our hearts. I learned how to be honest about my failures and my weaknesses because then I could get help from those around me who are stronger.

  Master’s Commission was filled with limitless opportunities to grow closer to God
