Youth
You will have the opportunity to work alongside our leadership team to help mentor and disciple teenagers in this ever changing society. You will be a part of ministry through youth services, outreaches, small groups, and retreats. There is no better place to train for youth ministry than in the trenches. In the Youth track, you will have the opportunity to develop your leadership abilities by being a part of youth services, small groups, and a variety of other events and ministries.


Children’s
In our Children’s track, you will have the opportunity to be a part of our KidStuf Family Production, a dynamic theatrical production that takes place on a weekly basis.

 

Media
Through our Media track, you will receive training in audio, visual, and graphic design. You will have the opportunity to develop and use your talents by serving in various aspects of ministry from weekly services to retreats.


Music

Each student will have the opportunity to be a part of our music ministry. You will be involved in various different aspects of this ministry - from running audio to being a part of the various worship teams here at Trinity.



 

 

VFCC

We have been given the incredible privilege of partnering with Valley Forge Christian College to receive our academic training. You will be enrolled as a student at VFCC and will receive training from the incredible professors there. Each student will take 15 credit hours their first year and 12 credit hours their second year. This partnership is very unique in the sense that as a student you will receive relevant hands on training as well as the opportunity to study on campus at VFCC.

NWT 223 Gospels: The Life of Jesus                                                                                           3 credits

A comprehensive study of the four Gospels (Matthew, Mark, Luke and John) including the back-ground and authorship of each book and its particular content and orientation. The life and ministry of Christ is studied. Key parables are studied and interpreted.

Prerequisite: NWT 113.


NWT 243 Book of Acts                                                                                                                3 credits

A study of the theological and practical teachings of the historical origins of the early Church. Special attention is given to the theology and work of the Holy Spirit in the evangelistic expansion of the Church.

Prerequisite: NWT 113.


NWT 363 Prison Epistles                                                                                                             3 credits

A study of Ephesians, Philippians, Colossians and Philemon, with special attention to their Christological content. Historical, geographical and biographical matters are also considered.

Prerequisite: NWT 113.



CRL 223 Developing Outreach and Discipleship Programs                       3 credits

A study of the total church program of evangelism and follow-up ministry. Provides a theoretical and practical basis for the establishment of outreach and discipleship programs in the church. Evaluates the philosophy and design of several established programs.



THE 233 A/G Doctrine and History                                                                                                3 credits

A study of Assemblies of God antecedents, history, government, doctrinal emphases, distinctives, and missions.


BIB 200 Biblical Theology                                                                                                            3 credits

A study of the major biblical and theological themes of both testaments. Emphasis on discovering the flow of ideas that bind the different books of the Bible into a unified whole.

Prerequisite: OLT 123, NWT 113.

BIB 213 Hermeneutics                                                                                                                 3 credits

An advanced study of the history, theory, and practice of biblical interpretation. This course emphasizes knowledge, understanding, and skills for pastoral and scholarly study of the Scripture including a review of current approaches and developments.

NWT 113 New Testament Survey                                                                        3 credits

A panoramic view of the chief events, prominent characters, main themes and salient teachings of each New Testament book in relation to its historical, geographical and cultural contexts.


OLT 123 Old Testament Survey                                                                                     3 credits

A study of the historical settings, literary features, authorship, theological teachings, and general content of the books of the Hebrew Bible. This survey provides a factual and practical groundwork for further studies in the Old Testament.


NWT 333 Romans                                                                                                        3 credits

An exegetical study of the Epistle to the Romans emphasizing its contribution to Christian theology and life.

Prerequisite: NWT 113.


PRE 213 Foundations of Biblical Preaching                                                       3 credits

An introduction to sermon preparation and preaching combining theory and practice. Lectures cover theoretical and practical aspects of sermons and their preparation, structure and delivery.

Prerequisites: COM 123, BIB 103, OLT 123 and NWT 113. (It is highly recommended that the student either has taken Hermeneutics or is in the process of taking Hermeneutics when enrolled in this class.)


PST 313 Principles of Leadership                                                                         3 credits

A study of the basic principles of leadership philosophy, goals and strategies. Includes an overview of leadership styles, time management, conflict resolution, communication, legal issues, development of mission statements, and professional etiquette and ethics.


IMN 114 Biblical Foundations of Missions                                                      3 credits

An introduction to the biblical mandate for missions as recorded throughout the Old and New Testaments. This course also emphasizes principles of the

indigenous church, roles of the sending church, the layperson and the missionary, in fulfilling Christ’s Great Commission. The personal call to missions is also studied.



THE 243 Theology I                                                                                                      3 credits

A study of the introduction to theology, the defense of the faith, and the doctrines of the Bible and revelation, God, creation, and angels. Special attention is given to Assemblies of God issues (Technically: Prolegomena, Apologetics, Bibliology, Theology Proper, Cosmology, and Angelology.) Prerequisites: OLT 123 and NWT 113.


THE 353 Theology III                                                                                                      3 credits

A study of the doctrines of: the Holy Spirit, the Church, and death and the end times. Special attention is given to Assemblies of God issues. (Technically: Pnuematology, Ecclesiology, and Eschatology: Personal and General.)

Prerequisites: OLT 123, NWT 113.
